Miguel Ángel Dobrich

Miguel Ángel Dobrich is a journalist, educator, and digital entrepreneur based in Montevideo, Uruguay. He is the CEO of Dobcast, a network of podcasts and a premium content YouTube channel for the Spanish-speaking world, and the founder and editor-in-chief of Amenaza Roboto, a science and technology news website operated by Dobcast Media.
Dobrich is a 2022 Oxford Climate Journalism Network alumus, a 2018 Tow-Knight Fellow, and an Online News Association member.
He has taught classes at UDELAR (University of the Republic), UCU (Catholic University of Uruguay), and CLAEH (Latin American Center for Human Studies). He has been invited to give lectures at Miguel Hernández University (Spain), Feevale University (Brazil), and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
As an academic, in 2022, he won the most prestigious applied research fund in Uruguay: the Fondo María Viñas.
