Elfredah Kevin-Alerechi is a freelance investigative journalist who is passionate about environmental justice. She has covered several stories about climate change and environmental pollution caused by British Shell and its successor, Eroton, including the impact of constant gas flaring by the Italian company Eni/Agip and the failure of Total E&P to pay compensation to host communities after destroying the environment, including farmlands and biodiversity, among other things. She covered the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland in 2021, and got the opportunity to meet and interview some of the world's leaders and campaigners advocating climate change and environmental crime.

Kevin-Alerechi is enthusiastic about telling issues that affect everyday Nigerians' lives, and her work has featured in publications such as Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN), The Scotsman, Al Jazeera, DeSmog UK, and others. She is also a member of the Environmental Investigative Forum, a network of environmental journalists and experts worldwide.
