The IDN Times' Forestalk Podcast is a program of special reports in March 2021, commemorating World Wildlife Day on March 3 and the International Day of Forests on March 21. The weekly talk program will discuss the tropical rainforest in Pekalongan, Central Java, with all of the community and conservation efforts to protect biodiversity. In the first episode, Arif Setiawan, a primate expert and the founder of swaraOwa, will talk about Javan Gibbon monkeys in the Petungkriyo forest, which is the only tropical rainforest left on the Java Island and outside of the conservation area. What kind of contribution can we make so that the forest remains sustainable? Listen to this podcast above on YouTube, and it is also available on Instagram (IGTV) and Spotify IDN Times. The IDN Times’ Forestalk podcast is supported by the Pulitzer Center through the Rainforest Journalism Fund.
