Yen Duong is a Vietnamese photojournalist whose work tends to drift to quiet moments in everyday life. Originally an investigative journalist, she has photographed many critical stories throughout Vietnam, exploring themes from human trafficking, environmental and natural disasters, to the impact of rapid urbanization on marginalized communities. Her photographs have been published in Reuters, Bloomberg, The Guardian, The New York Times, Al Jazeera, The New Humanitarian and more, and she has also photographed for many NGOs including IFRC and UNICEF.
Yen is the winner of One World Media’s 2019 New Voice Award and a runner up of 2018 Thomson Foundation Young Journalist Award by FPA UK. She completed a 5-day hostile training in November 2019. She's a member of Women Photograph and Diversify Photo.
