Editor and reporter for Agência Pública, Thiago has 17 years of experience in journalism and communication with bylines in other independent publications such as the magazines Caros Amigos and Retrato do Brasil. He is co-author of the book-reports “Brazil Human Rights," published in 2008 by the Secretariat of Human Rights of the Presidency of the Republic and “Ni pan ni circo - historias de hambre en América Latina," published in 2016 by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. He has experience in analyzing documents such as those published by WikiLeaks and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and partnerships such as the Panama Papers. He has received several awards for individual and team reporting; Thiago was a finalist for the Vladimir Herzog Journalistic Award for Amnesty and Human Rights and for the Gabo / FNPI Award for Agência Pública's Amazon coverage.
