Rosie Pioth is a freelance journalist, correspondent for France 24 in Congo-Brazzaville and Associated Press Video. Her passion for journalism has led her to work in radio, television and even print media.

A former Deutsche Welle correspondent in Kinshasa and then in Pointe-Noire in the Republic of Congo, she also worked for Anadolu Agensy in Pointe-Noire, and a local media DRTV before joining the sister channel of Euronews, Africanews as News Coordinator, a position she held for three years.

In 2008 in Kinshasa, she won the UNDP award in the Democratic Republic of Congo for the best television report on environmental protection. She also works as a local reporting partner helping foreign journalists who come to the Republic of Congo.

Discreet and hard-working, she is always on the lookout for opportunities to learn more, because as long as there is life, you learn every day. She is an advocate for young girls and women and passionate about helping give a voice to the voiceless.
